was born in Kamloops and spent much of his youth hunting, fishing and hiking the country around Kamloops. Win went into the grocery business and operated his own store, McCall’s Grocery. In 1958 he moved with his family to Salmon Arm to build and operate the Super Valu, the community’s first large grocery store. He sold the store in 1965.The next ten years were spent on a farm in Sorrento raising feeder cattle and generally enjoying being outside as much as possible. After selling the farm, they lived in Blind Bay and later, Salmon Arm where they spent much of their time golfing and traveling.
