was born in Edmonton Alberta. He enlisted in the RCAF in 1941 and spent three years overseas serving his country. He served with distinction and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war George continued to serve his country in the Federal Civil Service working in the Health of Animals Branch. George was seen as a humble and quite man, a devoted husband, whose family always came first. He retired to the Blind Bay area in 1983 and moved in to Salmon Arm in 2004.
