Colleen grew up in Vancouver and attended Prince of Wales high school. She met her husband at Ryerson United Church as she sang in the choir. They married in 1953 and built their first home in Richmond where they raised their 3 children.
The family home was a gathering place for many friends and musicians. Many fun jam sessions went until early morning light, after they closed up the coffee house for the night. Colleen loved to paint, create, sew, garden and was also an enthusiastic horsewoman and lover of animals.
Colleen and Roger moved to Salmon Arm in 1993 while maintaining her close friendships from high school. She joined a sorority and made many new and long standing friendships. She loved camping and fishing with her kids and grandchildren.
Always warmed by her wonderful laugh, she had a positive and fun approach to life. She will be well remembered and long missed.
