Ivy to her friends, was born in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia. She was a graduate nurse from Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. She resided in Guelph Ontario for 20 years before moving to Blind Bay with her husband Dr. Graham Bickle, in whose medical practice she worked as support staff for her husband in community psychiatry. Evelyn’s interests included piano, knitting, sewing, hand crafts and square dancing. She was devoted to her church and family.
