PARKES _ Randall James 1948 – 2007 It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Randy Parkes, loving husband, father, and grandfather who died suddenly on Saturday May 26, 2007 at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 58 years. Randy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beverley (nee Jones), sons Ryan and Cory, grandsons Trevor and Brandon, his mother Jean Parkes and a brother Michael. He is predeceased by his father William Parkes. At the time of his death Randy was the Vice President of Solid Wood Products at Coe Newnes McGehee of Salmon Arm, B.C. He was a well known and highly respected member of the forest products machinery business for over thirty years both in North America and Internationally. Born in Vancouver, B.C. Randy was a graduate of Sir Winston Churchill High School where he met Beverley. He moved his family to Marietta, Georgia in 1985, where he resided until the time of his death. Randy will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, sons, grandsons, his mother, daughter-in-laws, Amber and Kathleen, brother and sister-in-law Mike and Paulette, niece Kimberly Culling (nee Parkes) and husband Paul, nephews Warren and Nathan Parkes, great nephews Ian and Jacob Culling and the Parkes and Mills families in the B.C. area.
