was born in a tent on Annacis Island BC. By age 24 she had received her log scaling certificate and Masters papers for operating tug boats. One of four women graduates of the 1950 class of Medicine at Queen’s University, ‘Dr. Eve’ practiced her very special brand of healing for more than 40 years in Salmon Arm while raising her five children. She was influential in preserving McGuire Lake and the Herald property as parks, and was a strong youth advocate her whole life.
